Carbon Footprint
Finn Spring Oy offsets the carbon footprint caused by all Finn Spring brand products.
A carbon footprint is the measure of the overall emissions caused by an organisation or a product either directly or indirectly in terms of energy usage in buildings, process emissions, raw material procurement and logistics.
The carbon footprint of spring water is typically smaller than that of other drinks. In order to minimise our carbon footprint we have made our preforms lighter, increased the recycled material content of our bottles to 20 per cent, and reduced our electricity consumption by using, for example, energy-efficient production machines.
The carbon footprint of Finn Spring products has been offset by participation in the "Vesi antaa energiaa" (Water gives energy) project. The funds aimed at offsetting the carbon footprint are invested in the construction of small hydro power plants and in planting forests.
