Mulshi Springs

The natural spring from where Mulshi Springs originates approximately 1,50,000 years old. The spring passes through under-layers of natural filters of silt, sand & rock that protect the spring water from harmful bacteria.

Mulshi Springs surfaces in the Sahyadri mountains, 600 meters above sea level, amidst 2.5 million hectares of rain forests! This area has a population of less than 6 people per square kilometer over an area of 25,000 sq. kilometers! And with no factories, no pollutant industry within 6,000 sq. kms!

Mulshi Springs Natural Spring Water is the only water in the world sourced from a biological hotspot - the most virgin, unpolluted area on Earth. A biological hot-spot is a mere 1% of the earths land but is home to 35-40% of the world’s flora and fauna.

The Sahyadri mountains is the only spot in India to be labeled as biological hotspot. Within the Sahyadri range, there is a thin ridge which is called Telbela. This is considered the Monsoon Divide. On one side the rainfall is approximately 80mm during the monsoons and on the other side of the ridge, the rainfall is measured at 180mm.

Mulshi Springs is India’s only domestic water presented in glass and the only natural spring water out of India which is also pesticide free and meets all USA, EU and other International regulations.

History of Mulshi Springs

Legend has it that Mastani, Bajirao Peshwa’s second wife, considered one of the most beautiful women in the country, had Mulshi Spring Water carted 40 kilometers to Mastani Mahal for her to bathe and drink from. Much has been written about her beauty, her complexion, her translucent skin. It is said that when she swallowed a paan, you could literally see the red betel juices flow down her throat.
