History: The Gdov aquifer from which Rosinka-2 water is extracted is part of the Vendian aquifer system of Northwest Russia. One of the oldest in the world, the Vendian aquifer system formed some 600 million years ago when life first appeared on the planet. It is named after the Vendian period at the end of the Proterozoic eon. At that time life forms were just beginning to crawl from the water to dry land, and the oceans were populated by worms, water-inhabiting plants and jellyfish. Without its soil layer the earth consisted of cliffs and agglomerations of rocks. Since then the earth’s surface has changed beyond recognition. The layers that once made up the surface are now many meters underground. It is here that in unique natural conditions that developed over millions of years, subterranean waters accumulate. These waters are naturally filtered over the course of many years by layers of sand that contain all the trace elements and minerals the human body needs. Specialists of the Polustrovo Company have carefully selected the most beneficial water from among the mineral waters of the Northwest Region; Rosinka-2 is one of them.
