The History of Mount Olympus Bottled Water The Mount Olympus Bottled Water business in Salt Lake City was first established in 1898 under the trade style of Mount Olympus Fruit and Livestock Farm Company. It provided ice as well as water for irrigation of fruit trees and for farm animals. In the late 1800s bottled water deliveries began in the Salt Lake Area. In 1963 the current management acquired the company and subsequently the name was changed to Mount Olympus Waters, Inc. Mount Olympus has kept pace with the significant growth of the bottled water industry and currently our product lines include Spring water, Distilled water, Fluoridated Spring water, Purified water and Drinking water. The company offers a full line of water coolers and dispensing equipment—including reverse osmosis, filtration, and other point-of-use equipment. In 1980 the company constructed a large new bottling and warehouse facility at 1825 South 3730 West in Salt Lake City, in the Centennial Business Park. In 1997 a four million dollar renovation added computerized high-speed filling lines and processing equipment all in stainless steel. The Mount Olympus bottling facility is located in the center of Salt Lake
Valley. The plant is fully automated and has the most up-to-date sophisticated
computerized filling line and packaging equipment available. The natural quality
and purity of the water is preserved in the bottling plant by processing the
products through carbon filtration, sub micron filtration, ozonation, and UV
sterilization with strict adherence to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA)
Standards for bottling and packaging of bottled water
