Mount Olympus Bottled Water Info Country of Origin: USA
  Region: Salt Lake City, Utah
  Place Name: Mount Olympus Spring

Mount Olympus
For centuries a clear mountain spring on Mount Olympus has flowed pure and sweet, low in dissolved solids and high in oxygen.

The Mount Olympus spring is located southeast of Salt Lake City at the 5,000 foot level of Neff’s Canyon, a protected source surrounded by a federally designated wilderness area. Its quality is very uniform, and there is no chlorine, harsh chemicals or impurities to alter the pristine taste of Mount Olympus Spring Water. In fact, more than fifty years of water analyses indicate no discernible change in the quality or mineral composition of the water.

The Mount Olympus spring is capped and piped to a collection site above Mount Olympus Cove, and is brought to our bottling plant in stainless steel tankers.

 FOOD RECOMMENDATIONS
With a TDS of 54 Mount Olympus water has a very low mineral content which makes it an ideal candidate for matching it with salty foods (we recommend it for caviar) and subtle foods that would be over powered by high mineral content waters and  require an extremely clean taste.

 DRINK RECOMMENDATIONS
The low TDS also make Mount Olympus the ideal candidate for mix drinks. We like it especially for instant ice tea created without boiling water. Just mix a sachet of TEAOLOGY with your water for a real antioxidant-rich instant green tea with essential herbal and floral oils.

The History of Mount Olympus Bottled Water
The Mount Olympus Bottled Water business in Salt Lake City was first established in 1898 under the trade style of Mount Olympus Fruit and Livestock Farm Company. It provided ice as well as water for irrigation of fruit trees and for farm animals. In the late 1800s bottled water deliveries began in the Salt Lake Area.

In 1963 the current management acquired the company and subsequently the name was changed to Mount Olympus Waters, Inc. Mount Olympus has kept pace with the significant growth of the bottled water industry and currently our product lines include Spring water, Distilled water, Fluoridated Spring water, Purified water and Drinking water. The company offers a full line of water coolers and dispensing equipment—including reverse osmosis, filtration, and other point-of-use equipment.

In 1980 the company constructed a large new bottling and warehouse facility at 1825 South 3730 West in Salt Lake City, in the Centennial Business Park. In 1997 a four million dollar renovation added computerized high-speed filling lines and processing equipment all in stainless steel.

The Mount Olympus bottling facility is located in the center of Salt Lake Valley. The plant is fully automated and has the most up-to-date sophisticated computerized filling line and packaging equipment available. The natural quality and purity of the water is preserved in the bottling plant by processing the products through carbon filtration, sub micron filtration, ozonation, and UV sterilization with strict adherence to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Standards for bottling and packaging of bottled water

The FineWaters Balance
Certainly the difference in bottled waters is subtle. Some might even argue indistinguishable. But we believe that there are discreet differences in bottled water - and that these differences can enhance the experience in drinking them.
The Flavor of Bottled Water
When tasting water the most important factor in its overall integrated sensation we call flavor is the mouthfeel generated by the size, amount and distribution of the bubbles or the absence of it.
Matching Bottled Water With Food
The FineWaters Balance categorizes the "mouthfeel" of water based on the level of carbonization in five steps from Still to Effervescent, Light, Classic and Bold. This categorization is the basis of matching water with food in a fine dinig experience.
Temperature
There is nothing wrong with drinking water at almost any temperature but you should start paying attention and a little experimentation will revel a lot of epicurean delight in the consumption of water.
