Cooler firm wins corporate deal for water supply
Water Coolers Direct (WCD), a leading UK distributor for plumbed in water coolers, has been awarded a three-year contract to supply coolers to Barclays regional corporate offices in the UK.
Having gained preferred supplier status, WCD will implement the installation of plumbed-in coolers at all of the corporate offices and some of Barclays flagship branches up and down the country.
Plumbed-in water coolers offer a much more sustainable option for delivering chilled, fresh, clean water and reduce the impact upon the environment compared to using plastic bottles. Green credentials were very important in choosing the right water partner for our client. To meet government guidelines in reducing the number of plastic bottles in the waste stream, WCDs’ plumbed-in water coolers provide a ‘greener’ alternative; as well as decreasing CO2 emissions through reduced transport deliveries.”
Thrilled at winning such a prestigious contract, WCD managing director Fred Cairns Palmer said: “This contract is one of the largest our company has secured in recent times.
