The Source, which has been documented since 1957, is located at 1200 feet ASL in Chilliwack, British Columbia. It is protected from pollution by extensive foliage cover and flows from a fault in the mountain bedrock. The water comes out of the aquifer by a 260ft "gravity feed" drop which creates it’s own flow at 4 million gallons per day. The quality of the water is not affected in any way, by run off water from the local area. The relatively constant flow also suggests a constant hydraulic head within the subsurface.
 
  Most Americans Unaware of the Many Choices in Bottled Waters
Bottled water is just emerging as part of the fine dining experience in the United States. Bottled Water is currently in the transition from being treated as a commodity product (bottled tap water) towards water seen a natural product with a unique source. Today between 25 - 40% of bottled water sold in the US is actually bottled tap water according to government and industry estimates. The overwhelming majority of consumers are simply unaware that there are a vast number of brands of bottled water.
 
  Michigan Stops New Bottled Water Operations
The Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm ordered state officials on May, 25th not to allow new or expanded bottled water operations in Michigan until the Legislature enacts a water withdrawal law. "As stewards of the Great Lakes, we must ensure these facilities are not causing long-term harm to our most precious natural resource," she said in a statement.
 
  Bottled Water with Health Benefits Floods Japan
The current health boom in Japan is having a ripple effect on the bottled water industry and sending many beverage makers scrambling to offer products with added health benefits. Some bottled water contains minerals but others also include ingredients like dietary fiber.
