IBWA Trade Show In Las Vegas

The International Bottled Water Association (IBWA announced the official theme for the 2007 IBWA Convention and Tabletop Trade Show -- "The Bottled Water Event: A Place to Learn" at the Las Vegas Hilton, Oct. 15 to 19, 2007

"IBWA's educational opportunities for bottled water professionals are second to none," stated IBWA President Joseph K. Doss in a prepared statement. "This year's theme reflects IBWA's continued commitment to providing convention attendees with the bottled water industry's most comprehensive educational programs, which will help them meet the challenges of today and the future."

During the 2007 IBWA Convention and Tabletop Trade Show, IBWA will provide an expanded seminar program to educate bottled water professionals about innovative technologies, processes, marketing and sales techniques, and industry trends. This year, IBWA will also debut its new Tabletop Tradeshow, which will provide all the networking opportunities exhibitors and attendees have come to expect, but in a more intimate environment. The traditional IBWA Trade Show will return in 2008. All IBWA education programs, "tabletop" trade show, reception, and special networking events will be held in the newly remodeled Las Vegas Hilton.

In addition, the IBWA event will be co-located with PACK EXPO Las Vegas 2007, the nation's most comprehensive packaging trade show. PACK EXPO Las Vegas will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center, which is conveniently located next door to the Las Vegas Hilton -- IBWA's headquarters hotel. PACK EXPO Las Vegas will feature over 1,200 exhibitors and 500,000 net square feet of exhibit space. Because of this co-location, IBWA and PACK EXPO Las Vegas attendees will have the opportunity to attend both conventions and trade shows, and reap the benefits of getting maximum exposure for their businesses. IBWA Convention attendees are allowed to visit PACK EXPO Las Vegas free of charge. Additional reciprocity agreements between IBWA and PACK EXPO Las Vegas are pending.

"PACK EXPO leads the way when it comes to highlighting the state-of-the-art advances in packaging materials and machinery," said Doss. "By cooperating with PACK EXPO and co-locating these two top-notch events, all of our combined attendees will benefit."

Matching Bottled Water With Food
The FineWaters Balance categorizes the "mouthfeel" of water based on the level of carbonization in five steps from Still to Effervescent, Light, Classic and Bold. This categorization is the basis of matching water with food in a fine dinig experience.
The Water Glass
When one orders water in a fine dining restaurant it becomes rapidly clear that water is, in most cases, an afterthought. We have been served water in all possible contraptions from heavy whiskey tumblers to long highball glasses and the dreaded lemonade glass. A wide variety of wine glasses are also often used as water glasses. This is not appropriate.
The Flavor of Bottled Water
When tasting water the most important factor in its overall integrated sensation we call flavor is the mouthfeel generated by the size, amount and distribution of the bubbles or the absence of it.
