 In recent years, Galeries Lafayette has been turning the shopping experience into a French cultural exception, and has now added a new dimension to its flamboyant display of gallic luxury, with its Bar à Bulles. The "bubbles bar" now allows the thirsty shopper to discover a new mineral water between acquisitions at the Espace Créateur.
Located with the latest fashion on the first floor, the Bar offers a wide range of sparkling water from eight European countries. And admittedly, sipping a glass of Aqua Madonna after paying a visit to the Gucci boutique has an appeal all of its own. Choose from Swedish, Welsh, Scottish, French or Swiss spring water, or, if you prefer fruity and original tastes, the bar has a selection of delicately flavoured waters, such as Fennel-Coriander, Rose-Lychee and Strawberry-Mint.
Between the Opéra and the gare Saint-Lazare, Galeries Lafayette is housed in an Art Nouveau building typical of the early twentieth century. Its famous neobyzantine dome today spans the largest beauty department in the world.
