 The spring is located inside "Ryusenji" temple, an old temple better known as
"Meguro Fudoson" by local residents. The temple is said to be established in 808
by Buddhism missionary "Jikaku Taishi". The story has been passed down that this
divine water has never been dried up for 1200 years since it started flowing.
Despite its location in mid Tokyo, the temple is surrounded by still and
silent atmosphere, gently welcoming people visiting the place.
The water is
found by the stair to the main hall. As symbolized with the Fudo (god of fire)
statue standing by, the water which drops our of dragon mouth is characterised
as divine. Although the sign says it is not suitable for drinking, local people
do not seem to stop taking the water for making teas or cooking.

exit of JR "Gotanda" station, take Tokyu Bus for Shibuya Station (number 72) and
drop at Meguro Fudoson" stop
