Known for its mysteriously striking scenery, Lake Mashu's water is highly
transparent. Fallen waters are filtrated through volcanic rock layers and spouts
out at nearby site from 130m deep underground.
The site is owned by local
agricultural cooperative who bottles the water for sale. The spring water
spouting out can be seen inside their site. Location: Shibecha-cho, Kamawami-gun, Hokkaido
Transportation: "Shibecha"
station on JR Senmou Honsen Line
Contact: Hokuren Agricultural Coop.
